CCI COVID-19 Response
March 16, 2020
Columbus Chemical Industries has been monitoring the spread of COVID-19 and the unprecedented steps being taken throughout the world. CCI has enacted, and will continue to enact, procedures that will decrease the likelihood of exposure to COVID-19 by our team members, customers, and service and supply partners, while working to maintain continued production operations.
Our daily operations have been adjusted to include additional hygienic and sanitation procedures with increased frequency throughout the plants. Scheduling and planning adjustments are being made to reduce close personal contact. Arrangements are in progress for those who are able to adequately perform their jobs remotely to do so.
Visitors and Travel:
CCI will be limiting visitors at our facilities during this time to only those who are essential for business operation, and as approved by management. CCI personnel travel between facilities, or to customer/supplier facilities, will also be limited to only that which is critical for supporting continued operations.
Our priority is the safety of our team members and the maintenance of continued manufacturing operations. At this time, we do not have any particular reason to believe that our production operations will precipitate late deliveries to customers. We serve many customers in the food and medical industries, so it is vitally important that we ensure our link in the supply chain remains unbroken.
The ultimate impact of the spread of the virus and the effect it will have on the usual functioning of our operations and the economy is impossible to predict. We will continue to communicate as we adapt to these unprecedented circumstances.
