Columbus Chemical Industries provides battery manufacturers and energy research labs with high purity reagents, acids, bases, solvents, and custom chemical solutions for battery and energy applications. CCI has been working with the battery industry for many years providing unique solutions and high quality chemicals for battery production with batch to batch consistency.
Chemicals for Battery Production
We have experience with, and specialized chemical handling capability for the following chemicals commonly used in the battery/energy industry:
- Sulfuric Acid and Sulfuric Acid Solutions, including Electrolyte Blends
- Sodium Sulfate
- Vanadium Pentoxide
- Zinc Bromide
- Zinc Chloride
- NMP (N-Methyl-2-pyrrolidone)
CCI can source domestically and internationally to provide sometimes hard-to-find raw material chemistry for the battery industry.
Our chemists are available to assist on formulation and product development of custom battery solutions, electrolyte solutions, etc, for your production needs. With dual facilities in Columbus, WI and Phoenix, AZ, we have the capabilities to provide chemicals and blends on a small scale for pilot work and large scale for production. CCI’s blending capabilities range from gallon batches to 5,000 gallon batches with a variety of specialized blending tank features, such as agitation, and heating or cooling, to best fit your product requirements.
Our in-house lab, which includes an ICP-MS, will allow us to test materials in a timely manner to tight reporting tolerances.
Custom Chemical Packaging for Battery and Energy Applications
Our packaging options for both dry and wet chemicals allow custom scaling of final packaged product to achieve multiple benefits for your battery application. Packages can be sized to reduce strain during lifting, reducing potential injury to employees during material handling. Packages can also be sized to fit batching requirements, resulting in greater efficiency during battery production stages. Batch sized packages also help reduce repeat exposure of the raw materials over time to potentially uncontrolled environmental conditions during opening and closing of bulk containers.
Our Management of Change program will guarantee that notification will be provided regarding any changes in the supply chain from the manufacturer to our customers.
