CCI’s ISO Certification, 10 Year Benchmark

CCI is pleased to announce we have reached our double-digit mark, 10 years of ISO certification!

Prior to our initial ISO9001:2008 certification in 2009, CCI had long recognized the importance of process control, documentation and accurate records. In all aspects of our operations, from quality control, to safety, to environmental sustainability, CCI has always been dedicated to continual improvement. Maintaining a successful business in the chemical industry requires an extremely high level of control in all aspects of operation to provide the consistent quality products needed by our customers, and to do so safely and responsibly.

For over 25 years, CCI has been a member of the chemical industry organization NACD (National Association of Chemical Distributors), adopting the Responsible Distribution (RD) program in 1993 with RDP program certification occurring in 1996.

While the preparation for our initial ISO certification was certainly challenging and intense, CCI’s long history of membership with NACD and adherence to the RD program provided us with a solid initial foundation from which to build our ISO structure.

Since our 2009 ISO certification, CCI has consistently undergone successful annual audits at both our Columbus, WI and Phoenix, AZ facilities. CCI successfully transitioned to the ISO 9001:2015 standard in 2017.  Key areas of focus in the 9001:2015 standard include: improving the organizations engagement with their stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, personnel, legislative bodies, and society. The organization is expected to assess and plan for risks though risk analysis, and there is more emphasis placed on leadership and management commitment requiring greater involvement by top managers and business leaders.

Moving into the future, CCI is excited to continue our journey of continual improvement as an ISO compliant company. Maintaining our ISO certification status helps ensure our business will achieve maximum customer satisfaction with our service & products and operate efficiently and responsibly.
