Acetic Acid is used in the pharmaceutical industry for many manufacturing and processing stages, utilizing both its acidic and solvent properties. Our USP Acetic Acid specification is designed to comply with the requirements set forth by the US Pharmacopeia (USP).
Glacial acetic acid is considered anhydrous (undiluted) and has high freezing temperature of around 17°C (62°F). It is common in colder climates for acetic acid to solidify during transit or storage, however material may be brought back to liquid form with no impact to material quality if stored at a room temperature above the freezing point until thawed.
