Hands, Hoses and Helping our Community
October 30, 2024
It is always rewarding to be able to make an impact for our communities, both local and at-large. This past month, we have been honored to see a number of our efforts through to their next stages.
After speaking with Deputy Chief Fox of the Columbus Fire Department about the departments current needs, our Founder and Chairman of the Board, Richard Sheard, arranged a donation on behalf of Columbus Chemical Industries towards new fire attack hose (pictured above). We appreciate the service and dedication our local fire department provides, and look forward to partnering with them in keeping our community safe for years to come.
Our CCI team was also pleased to contribute to our local food pantry this month with an employee-led food and goods drive. The team collected pantry staples and personal care items, which will help our community members in need as we lead up to the holiday season.
And at the Fall 2024 ILDA (Independent Laboratory Distributors Association) Meeting, CCI was pleased to co-sponsor the Build-a-Hand collaboration event. The Build-A-Hand program provides a hands-on opportunity for participants to work in teams, assembling prosthetic hands for those in need. The delivery of these hands can be life altering for the recipients, as restoring the ability to grip can open new avenues of communication, ability and independence!
